POWERCHINA annonced in a statement that it has reached another milestone on the NEOM project in Saudi Arabia,  when the deepest and largest-diameter test pile was completed, making POWERCHINA the first among all contractors to construct injection piles with a diameter exceeding one hundred meters.

The test pile is 101.1 meters deep, with a total weight of 50 metric tons for the steel reinforcement cage hoisted. The successful construction was a testament to POWERCHINA’s advanced technology and strong capabilities, and further enhanced the company’s level of digitalization and intelligent construction in the construction of large-diameter steel reinforcement cages.

The NEOM new region, with a total investment exceeding $1 trillion, is expected to become an iconic piece of architecture. The linear city construction spans approximately 170 kilometers in length and is 500 meters high. It consists of a 90-kilometer coastal and coastal desert section and an 80-kilometer mountain and upper valley section.

The completed test pile is located in the core area of the Marina community. This area is referred to as the world’s “hidden harbor” and serves as the iconic architectural community of the entire linear city. Once completed, it will be the world’s largest multi-faceted city harbor.
